Ze Checklist

AHHHHHH!!!  IT'S COMING!!!  My first ever finals week in medical school.  And I'm terrified.  Lately, I've found myself beginning to enjoy making checklists far more than my old fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants self liked making them.  Perhaps it's becoming more necessary.

I've been making lists of items to check off before I get to go home- mostly the big tests.  I've been making lists of things I have to look forward to.  I've been making shopping lists, lists of stuff I need to bring home, of stuff I need to get from home.  The first two lists are incredibly motivational, which is awesome when there's so much to be done.

Louis Pasteur said that "chance favors the prepared mind," so I've been doing my best to make the odds in my favor.  I also know that God honors the prayers of the righteous.  As such, I thought I'd share my schedule with you, with the request that you lift up all of us med students as we prepare and partake in these exams, and as we interact with each other.  A quarter full of information seems a little intimidating as you flip through 6 trees worth of notes!  And stressed out Type A people can be a little rough to be around in large groups sometimes.  We need lots of grace around here :)

Passage of the week:

Romans 5:1-5, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
