Today I lay outside in the sunshine, talking to God about what was going on in the lives of those around me. We recounted some of the hurts and the pains, the triumphs and excitements of a few special people in my life. As I mentally skimmed over the rest of my prayer list, I groaned inwardly, not because it was tedious, but because of the pure magnitude of it all.
“Lord, if we were to do this over my whole list, it would take all day.”
At that moment, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 settled over my brain like a quilt.
“Pray without ceasing.”
“Oh.” I said. “I see.”
